Description
A wine of exceptional quality made with the best grapes of a single harvest. A Vintage declaration occurs when producers believe that all conditions are gathered to release the highest standard of quality. On average, fully declared 2 to 3 times per decade, the wine must be bottled between the 2nd and 3rd year after the harvest. A wine built to age for decades reaching full maturity after 20 to 40 years of bottle aging.
Tasting Notes
The 2000 Vintage will be remembered for the immense concentration of its wines, for the small quantities produced, and for the intense berry fruit aromas and full-bodied structure. Dark purple in colour, fresh floral fragrance, ripe and clean cherry fruit, rich jam, velvety tannins and a lingering, powerful aftertaste. Fabulous.
