Description

Poeirinho is a wine produced solely from the grapes of Niepoort's Quinta de Baixo vineyards in Bairrada.It reflects the old name of Baga, as a tribute to the great Bairrada wines from the past, that were light in colour and low in alcohol but with great ageing potential.

Tasting Notes

This is a classy red wine, 100% Baga, aromatic, fruity and emphatically complex. Brilliant violet hue with smooth tannins, and delicate aromas.This wine features saline and maritime notes typical of the calcareous terroir, and shows good structure, grip and precision. It is distinctly mineral and refreshing, with plenty of cherry, strawberry and wild berries, and has a long finish with linearity and firmness.
