A Tawny Port from a single harvest and exceptional quality, aged for a minimum of 7 years in cask, representing less than 1% of the total production of Port every year. Like a Vintage Port, a Colheita is only released when the best conditions are gathered. Whilst it ages, its young fruity and fresh aromas develop through oxidation to create an increased smoothness harmony and complexity.
Tasting Notes
Aged with a close control of the oxidative process and in a very traditional style, Kopke's Colheitas offer great freshness, wonderful balance between sweetness and acidity, and ultra-long aftertaste. This 1951 is elegant and subtle, delivering beautiful notes of preserved citrus, raisins and creme-brulee.
