Description

A blend of wines from many years where the average age of the bottle is at least 40 years old. Its style varies from one producer to another but remains relatively the same from year to year. The skills and experience of the winemaker combined with the quality of the different wines blended influence the final result.

Tasting Notes

One of the very few 40 yo white Port and perhaps the best along with Kopke. It takes time and skills to release such a complex blend. Notes of exotic, yellow and white fruits, citrus as well as rancio flavors typical of old Tawny Ports. More concentrated than its younger sibling (Andresen 20 yo white), it also offers a more powerful and explosive profile with a very long aftertaste.
