Description

A wine of exceptional quality made with the best grapes of a single harvest. A Vintage declaration occurs when producers believe that all conditions are gathered to release the highest standard of quality. On average, fully declared 2 to 3 times per decade, the wine must be bottled between the 2nd and 3rd year after the harvest. A wine built to age for decades reaching full maturity after 20 to 40 years of bottle aging.

Tasting Notes

One of the very best Fonseca ever produced at par with 1948 or 1955 & one of the greatest VP from the classic 1963 Vintage. An almost Burgundian profile, with a perfect integration of the spirit. The pinacle of what a great matured Vintage Port can be.
