Description

Batuta is a wine of extremes, tannins are very fine, aromas are intense but never exuberant. It has incredible concentration from the old centenarian vineyards, yet it is very fresh and elegant.ÊThe grapes are sourced from north facing 70 yo vineyards at Quinta do Carril, which offer slow and balanced ripening, as well as from centenarian vines near Quinta de Napoles. Batuta is the result of a very delicate vinification process, with long maceration but little extraction, where all the details are carefully considered in order to obtain a complex, fine and elegant wine.

Tasting Notes

Intense and vivid colour. Complex aromas of plum, red fruits, black and green pepper, mediterranean herbs, minerals and smoked meat. Very elegant palate with great freshness, firm structure and velvety tannins. Subtle with intense fruit flavors and impressive acidity. Great persistence on the palate. Great ageing potential.
