Description

Calvados Domfrontais AOC was separated from the main AOC Calvados in 1997 to highlight the typicity of this small and unique terroir. The complexity of the soil and sub soil, made of limestone, clay, schist and granite is more suited to the production of pears. Calvados Domfrontais are characterised by great freshness and elegance. Slightly lighter in style than the Pays d'Auge, they develop amazing complexity and finesse with age.

Tasting Notes

Bright amber color, aromas of apple, ripe pear, flowers, vanilla and light spices. The mouth is medium with flavours of crisp apple, ripe pear, caramel, tarte tatin, honey and hints of antique wood.
