Description

A wine of exceptional quality made with the best grapes of a single harvest. A Vintage declaration occurs when producers believe that all conditions are gathered to release the highest standard of quality. On average, fully declared 2 to 3 times per decade, the wine must be bottled between the 2nd and 3rd year after the harvest. A wine built to age for decades reaching full maturity after 20 to 40 years of bottle aging.

Tasting Notes

Deep purple. The Capela 2017 is a multi-dimensional VP of exceptional quality, and is the fourth release named after the quinta's chapel. With an intense aroma of camphor, cassis, lavender and blueberry, the highly complex and grippy palate unfurls chocolate, licorice, blackcurrant and pepper, amidst lively acidity and silky velvet tannins in a package of incredible balance and depth, onto a brilliant and seductive finish.
