Description

Antonio Maria Goncalves Faria was one of the most iconic Bairrada producers of the 90s. Wines such as the Tonel 5 1990 or the Reserva 1991 will forever remain engraved in Bairrada's wine history. It is a great privilege for Dirk Niepoort to work with these magnificent vineyards which produce timeless wines with depth and character.

Tasting Notes

The Gon calves Faria Branco 2015 shows very elegant restrained mineral and saline aromas full of mouth-watering fresh notes of lime with hints of smoke. The pronounced acidity, pleasant roundness and good structure create a wonderfully expressive and balanced palate. The aromatic profile is elegant and refreshing, leading to a long and distinctive mineral finish. A wine with a great cellaring potential.
