Description
Vinha da Serra (vineyard of the mountain) is Antonio Madeira's high altitude grand cru vineyard, a granitic arena located at 600 m and facing west. Vinha da Serra is a wine of extreme but with great balance: Powerful due to his west exposure, but very fresh and elegant thanks to its high altitude, fine soil and high proportion of Tinta Amarela. An iron fist in a velvet glove. The Musigny of Dao, Serra da Estrela.
Tasting Notes
The nose is complex and sophisticated with refined aromas of flowers, fruit of the forest, tea leaves and minerals. Typical flavours reminiscent of the nose, very fine and elegant tannins combined with fresh natural acidity. The finale is long saline and mineral.
