Description

Wine made from grapes grown in the vineyard of the house, property of Mr. Manuel Eugénio Fernandes (MEF) in the parish of Seixal. This bottling resulted from the blend of two wines aged in very different environments. 200 liters were used from the MEF family’s canteiro warehouse, located near Seixal beach and cha- racterized by an enormous acidity and salinity, but rather light-bodied. The remaining 110 liters of the blend were aged in the Barbeito warehouses, which are warmer and consequently have a greater structure and concentration, resulting in a wine that is much more balanced between acidity and sugar.

Tasting Notes

Fresh and deep bouquet, notes of green pine nuts, figs, toasted walnuts, nutmeg and salted caramel. Wine with a good texture that envelops the entire palate. Well-evident acidity, salty finish with a very persistent citrus dryness.
