Description
A wine of exceptional quality made with the best grapes of a single harvest. A Vintage declaration occurs when producers believe that all conditions are gathered to release the highest standard of quality. On average, fully declared 2 to 3 times per decade, the wine must be bottled between the 2nd and 3rd year after the harvest. A wine built to age for decades reaching full maturity after 20 to 40 years of bottle aging.
Tasting Notes
Certainly one of the absolute finest Vintage Ports of the last 50 years. Declared by all major houses. Dark chocolate with bitter-sweet notes, succulent layers of raspberry and subtle caramel on the fabulous finish.
