Description

A wine of exceptional quality made with the best grapes of a single harvest. A Vintage declaration occurs when producers believe that all conditions are gathered to release the highest standard of quality. On average, fully declared 2 to 3 times per decade, the wine must be bottled between the 2nd and 3rd year after the harvest. A wine built to age for decades reaching full maturity after 20 to 40 years of bottle aging.

Tasting Notes

Fruity, powerful and rich, with an addictive, hedonistic quality. It is medium-full in weight, displaying captivating aromas of chocolate, cigar box, blackberries, violets and plums. Floral and long, this Vintage Port is endowed with massive, ripe and fully-rounded tannins. This is a classy, succulent and flamboyant wine that has another half century of ageing from now, but already drinking beautifully.
