Description

Calvados Domfrontais AOC was separated from the main AOC Calvados in 1997 to highlight the typicity of this small and unique terroir. The complexity of the soil and sub soil, made of limestone, clay, schist and granite is more suited to the production of pears. Calvados Domfrontais are characterised by great freshness and elegance. Slightly lighter in style than the Pays d'Auge, they develop amazing complexity and finesse with age.

Tasting Notes

Golden amber colour, aromas of clove and pepper combined with dry citrus zest and raisins. The mouth is silky with finesse and intensity, with layers of pear and fine wood unfurling. The finale is long, powerful and fresh. Beautiful.
