Description
In 1993, the Redoma 1991 was Niepoort's first red wine to be released in the market. Like Douro, it is a wine with a strong personality, made from several vineyards over 60 years old, mostly facing North, in the Cima Corgo region, where the different varieties are co-planted. Full bodied and concentrated, with polished tannins, it combines the austerity and authenticity of a Douro wine with an earthy and balsamic character, and the characteristic freshness and elegance of Niepoort's wines.
Tasting Notes
Dark ruby in colour with aromas of earth, spices, small berries, pepper and esteva. The palate is vibrant and well defined with lovely fruit, minerality and freshness. Very fine tannic structure and persistent finish.
