Description

In 1993, the Redoma 1991 was Niepoort's first red wine to be released in the market. Like Douro, it is a wine with a strong personality, made from several vineyards over 60 years old, mostly facing North, in the Cima Corgo region, where the different varieties are co-planted. Full bodied and concentrated, with polished tannins, it combines the austerity and authenticity of a Douro wine with an earthy and balsamic character, and the characteristic freshness and elegance of Niepoort's wines.

Tasting Notes

The Redoma Tinto 2020 is a Niepoort classic which reflects the elegance, structure, and acidity that only a region as diverse as the Douro Valley can express. The colour is ruby-red. concentrated with violet hues. The nose is delicate and complex. It starts off with floral, cherry and ruibarb notes to after swirling reveal hints of tobacco, graphite and spices. On the palate it is structured, round and precise.
