Description

A wine of exceptional quality made with the best grapes of a single harvest. A Vintage declaration occurs when producers believe that all conditions are gathered to release the highest standard of quality. On average, fully declared 2 to 3 times per decade, the wine must be bottled between the 2nd and 3rd year after the harvest. A wine built to age for decades reaching full maturity after 20 to 40 years of bottle aging.

A legendary Vintage Port, a masterpiece, bottled in the famous Niepoort fat bottle. Probably the best VP ever produced by Niepoort. Constantly rated best of the Vintage along with Taylor, Graham & Croft. Dark & concentrated, with stunning flavours of cherry, raspberry & liquorice. The structure is impressive with perfect balance and tremendous complexity. It will age forever.
