Description
A wine of exceptional quality made with the best grapes of a single harvest. A Vintage declaration occurs when producers believe that all conditions are gathered to release the highest standard of quality. On average, fully declared 2 to 3 times per decade, the wine must be bottled between the 2nd and 3rd year after the harvest. A wine built to age for decades reaching full maturity after 20 to 40 years of bottle aging.
Tasting Notes
Deep purple. Alluring aromas of cassis, raspberry, red cherry and leather provide the prelude to an intense and concentrated mouth of chocolate, wild berries, anise, earth and dark cherry, with beautifully integrated tannins that are deliciously chewy, and lively acidity to balance its complex core of sweet heaven. The finish is utterly sublime.
