Description

A wine of exceptional quality made with the best grapes of a single harvest. A Vintage declaration occurs when producers believe that all conditions are gathered to release the highest standard of quality. On average, fully declared 2 to 3 times per decade, the wine must be bottled between the 2nd and 3rd year after the harvest. A wine built to age for decades reaching full maturity after 20 to 40 years of bottle aging.

Tasting Notes

Dark purple in colour. This 2015 Vesuvio is a powerhouse of a VP , expressing fresh, dark cherry aromas, accompanied by rockrose and violet flowers. In the mouth, there is good grip from the schist tannins, concentration and intensity, with a wonderful sense of balance, and delicious flavours of juicy blackcurrant, baked cherry and dark plum. The finish is persistent and elegant.
