Description

A wine of exceptional quality made with the best grapes of a single harvest. A Vintage declaration occurs when producers believe that all conditions are gathered to release the highest standard of quality. On average, fully declared 2 to 3 times per decade, the wine must be bottled between the 2nd and 3rd year after the harvest. A wine built to age for decades reaching full maturity after 20 to 40 years of bottle aging.

Tasting Notes

Dark purple in colour. 2016 is a classic year for VPs, delivering power and concentration, together with elegance and freshness. Expressive floral scents, rockrose, lavender, resin and raspberry. The palate is velvet smooth, with kirsch, ripe cherry, luscious blackcurrant, schist tannins and liquorice, underpinning and deftly complementing its muscular yet elegant structure, onto a gorgeously seductive finish.
